Hi. I've played some hex-and-counter games in the past (and some square-and-double-counter games like Fighting Sail), and although I do own some old copies of games in SPI's Great Battles of the American Civil War series, I've never played any of them.
Recently I found out about Cyberboard, and I've been working to understand how to use it to play GBACW games.
Anyone interesting in playing (and almost certainly defeating) an absolute beginner?

Four New Additions to the P500 List

We also added Auto Orders for each game to customers who had auto orders for card-driven games (1989), Air Games (Bomber Command), FAB Series (Sicily), and Non-Series Games (No Retreat). Playtesters Wanted!
Chris Taylor's Fast, fun fantasy foray

.jpg) A new game is now available for beta testing, the Chris Taylor design of Loot and Scoot, a competitive fantasy dungeon romp for 2-4 players ages 10 and up. Players set up by stocking a dungeon with monsters, poison traps and treasure. Once the dungeons are finished, each player assembles a party of adventurers and raids their opponent’s dungeons for loot and glory. The game lasts until the first dungeon boss is discovered and defeated, which generally takes about 45 minutes or so.
The rules are short (only a single, double-sided sheet), and very easy to learn. This is a perfect wind-down game after a long a game night, or something quick-and-fun to play with the family after dinner. We’re looking for playtesters that have a game group with up to four players. Solitaire rules are planned, but not as part of this playtesting cycle.
See the new Loot and Scoot VPG page for more information, including a look at the playtest components. If our in-house testing is any indication, your gaming group is going to have grand time raiding each other's dungeons in this quick, charming little fantasy advanture game.

Has anyone ever made Xiang Qi and Janggi modules for Vassal ? I know one exists for Cyberboard, but my friends and I like to use Vassal for it's real time playing ability. I'd make one myself, but whenever I make a module, it comes out like complete crap or ends up looking awful.

When I started this website for the public I had never anticipated so many abusive, disrespecting, whining and dishonest people. If I had knew at the time, I probably never would have started it. Some of you may know I absolutely love programming, creating new stuff and improving other. Unfortunately, since quite a while now, I rarely get the change to do so. I find myself constantly busy with the 'social stuff' which is no fun at all. Much of this can be handled by my lovely voluntary crew but they need proper tools to do so. Since I am always busy with the 'wrong' stuff these tools are also lacking at the moment. With the current rate of 'new' members, we find ourselves unable to handle every complaint, request, question with the attention we would like to.
To give ourselves some time to sort things out I have closed the registration form. Besides that, I have removed all inactive profiles that haven't logged on for at least 6 months. We are now down to about 180.000 active registered members which I think is quite a lot already. To be honest, I don't think this measure will hurt anyone that much. Currently active members can play with their usual names, truly new members are not addicted yet and banned players are, well, not welcome. If anything, I actually think it may create a better experience for our existing members in a short while.
I have not set an end-date for the registration stop. If ever, it will open when the current crew and crew-to-be are settled and have the proper tools to do their jobs.
